Fun with a Purpose

Not all of the fun is games and overnights. The civic activites in the pack offer a chance for the boys to take pride in themselves and to give back to the community. Many of the Cubs at first hesitate to do the Scouting for Food. Once they try it the boys start to brag about how much food they brought in and almost always volunteer the next year. We in Pack 1 have a tradition of participation in the Heritage, Vetrans and Memorial Day parades. The parades create a greate oppertunity to talk with the boys about History, Wars and Soldiers.
