Annual Wreath Sale

The Annual Wreath Sale is Pack 1's only Fund Raising event for the year. Monies from this event go towards the Events, Blue and Gold, awards and the Pinewood Derby. The annual $45 registration fee almost covers the den contribution per scout and the council fees we rely on the wreath and candle sales to make up the difference.  It's also a opportunity for the boys to learn salesmanship, public speaking and more about the town.

Wreath sales begin at the October Pack meeting.  Packets are passed out with instructions. The instructions are better written then hear so please read them.

Routes are assigned.  Each route has about 24 houses and attempts were made to eliminate dangerous situations like traffic and pedophiles. The three southborough packs get together each year to review the routes and divide them up. The routes also rotate so this year we'll be selling on the East part of town.

On the weekend before Halloween the selling starts.  This year it is October 22nd.  The boys should make every effort to visit the homes on their route. if they cannot let the Wreath coordinators know as soon as possible. Additional routes are also available and there will be prizes for the boys who sell the most.  Counts are due on Nov 14th and the Pickup is Nov 19th.

One more comment we know the family and close friends want to buy their wreaths or candles from their favorite Cub Scout. So we ask them to save a donation for the boy who has them on their route.
