In November Pack 1 participates in the annual "Scouting for Food" campaign organized by the Knox Trail Council. This event consisted of Scouts going door-to-door to solicit non-perishable foods to replenish local food pantries.

During 2001 the drive's first year, many were unsure of what the results might be. However, much to everyones delight our local scouts collected over 2 tons of food! In 2011 and 2012 we collected about 10,000 lbs and hope to improve on that in 2013.
