In November Pack 1 participates in the annual "Scouting for Food" campaign organized by the Knox Trail Council. This event consisted of Scouts going door-to-door to solicit non-perishable foods to replenish local food pantries.

During 2001 the drive's first year, many were unsure of what the results might be. However, much to our delight our local troops collected over 2 tons of food! In 2010 we collected over 11,000 lbs and hope to improve on that in 2011.
